5. Accreditation procedures
5.1 POMPEII
Journalists and media operators may obtain accreditation by applying via email at stampa.visitapapale2026@santuariodipompei.it, attaching a letter from the editor-in-chief of the publication, a copy of an identity document and a clear, colour passport-sized photograph.
All news regarding the Holy Father Leo XIV’s pastoral visit will be communicated on the site www.papaleoneapompei.it
For journalists and media operators accredited to the Holy See Press Office, it will be sufficient to attach to the request EXCLUSIVELY a copy of an identity document and a clear, colour passport-sized photograph (it is not necessary to send a letter from the editor-in-chief of the publication).
The deadline for accreditation applications is Wednesday 29 April, by 15.00; acceptance of the request will be communicated by email.
It will be possible to collect the accreditation cards in Pompeii, at the following times: on Tuesday 5 May 2026 from 14.00 to 18.00 and Wednesday 6 May 2026, from 9.00 to 13.00, at the reception desk of the Sanctuary of Pompeii, Piazza Bartolo Longo, 1, and on Thursday 7 May 2026, from 9.00 to 18.00, at the Press Centre – Casa del Pellegrino, Piazza Bartolo Longo, 40, Pompeii.
