Farewell from Bangladesh at Dhaka International Airport
At 16.45 local time (11.45 in Rome), the Holy Father Francis arrived at Dhaka International Airport where the official farewell from Bangladesh took place. Upon arrival the Pope was received by the Foreign Minister in the VIP Lounge, where a brief meeting was held.
The Holy Father then boarded a B777 / BIMAN (Bangladesh Airlines) for his return flight to Italy. The aircraft took off at 17.10 local time (12.10 in Rome).
He is expected to arrive in Rome-Fiumicino Airport at 23.00.

Immediately after his departure by air from Dhaka, the Holy Father Francis sent the following telegram to the President of the Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Abdul Hamid:
