Vatican City, 26 March 2016 – On Good Friday, in the evening, while the Via Crucis was being held in the Colosseum, the Apostolic Almoner Archbishop Konrad Krajewski, along with various voluntary collaborators and homeless people from the "Gift of Mercy" hostel, walked the streets of Rome in spiritual union with the Holy Father’s Via Crucis. They distributed sleeping bags to the men and women they encountered sleeping in the streets – a "caress" from Pope Francis. The "stations" of this Via Crucis, which finished around midnight, numbered around one hundred.
