Erection of the eparchy of Al Qusia, Egypt, and appointment of patriarchal administrator
His Beatitude Patriarch Ibrahim Sedrak, with the consent of the Synod of Bishops of the Patriarchal Church of Alexandria of the Copts, and after having consulted with the Apostolic See, has erected the eparchy of Al Qusia, in accordance with canon 85 CCEO, with territory divested from the eparch of Assiut.
The Patriarch, after consulting the Permanent Synod, has appointed Bishop Basilios Fawzy Al-Dabe of Minya as patriarchal administrator of the eparchy.
Statistical data
The eparchy of Al-Qusia, with territory divested from that of Assiut, consists of 13 parishes, with 29,000 faithful, served by 16 eparchial priests, 5 men religious and 16 women religious. The Cathedral of the eparchy is the Church of the Sacred Heart in Qusquam.

His Beatitude Patriarch Ibrahim Sedrak, with the consent of the Synod of Bishops of the Patriarchal Church of Alexandria of the Copts, and after informing the Apostolic See, has transferred Bishop Danial Lofty Kella of Ismaylia of the Copts to the eparchial see of Assiut of the Copts.
The Patriarch, after consulting the Permanent Synod, has appointed Bishop Danial Lofty Kella of Minya as patriarchal administrator of the same circumscription.
