Appointment of apostolic nuncio in Rwanda
The Holy Father Francis has appointed as apostolic nuncio in Rwanda Msgr. Andrzej Józwowicz, nunciature counsellor, at the same time elevating him to the dignity of archbishop.
Msgr. Andrzej Józwowicz
Msgr. Andrzej Józwowicz was born in Boćki, Poland on 14 January 1965.
He was ordained a priest on 24 May 1990, in Łowicz. He holds a degree in Utroque Iure.
He entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See on 1 July 1997, and went on to serve at the Papal Representations in Mozambique, Thailand, Hungary, Syria, Iran and Russia.
He speaks Italian, English, French, Russian and Portuguese.
Appointment of archbishop of Semarang, Indonesia
The Holy Father has appointed as archbishop of Semarang, Indonesia, Rev. Fr. Robertus Rubiyatmoko, judicial vicar of the archdiocese of Semarang and formator in the major seminary.
Rev. Fr. Robertus Rubiyatmoko
Rev. Fr. Robertus Rubiyatmoko was born on 10 October 1963 in Sleman, in the archdiocese of Semarang. He entered the Saint Petrus Canisius minor seminary in Mertoyudan, and carried out his philosophical and theological studies at the Pontifical Faculty in Yogyakarta. He was ordained a priest on 12 August 1992 for the archdiocese of Semarang.
He obtained a degree in canon law from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, where he resided in the Pontifical Dutch College (1993-1997). He has held the following offices: vicar of the “Saint Mary of the Assumption” parish in Pakem (1992-1993); lecturer in canon law at the Pontifical Wedabhakti Faculty of Theology in Yogyakarta; formator in the Saint Paulus Major Seminary in Yogyakarta (2004-2011) and judicial vicar of the archdiocese of Semarang (since 2011).

The Holy Father has appointed as bishop of Tumaco, Colombia Rev. Fr. Orlando Olave Villanoba, of the clergy of the diocese of Barrancabermeja, currently pastor of the Cathedral and diocesan vicar for pastoral ministry.
Rev. Fr. Orlando Olave Villanoba
Rev. Fr. Orlando Olave Villanoba was born in Barrancabermeja on 28 January 1969. He studied philosophy at the major seminary of Bucaramanga and theology at the “San Carlos Borromeo” Seminary in San Gil. He specialised in youth pastoral ministry at the Theological Institute for Latin America (ITEPAL) and holds a licentiate in theology with specialisation in youth pastoral ministry and catechesis from the Pontifical Salesian University, Rome.
He was ordained a priest on 5 December 1998, in the diocese of Barrancabermeja.
He has held the following offices: vicar in the parish of “Santísima Trinidad” in Sabana de Torres, chaplain of the “Madre de la Esperanza” College in Sabana de Torres, pastor of the “Jesús María” parish in Barrancabermeja, chaplain of the “Sagrado Corazón de Jesús” College and the “San Pedro Claver” Seminary in Barrancabermeja, vicar of the “El Señor de los Milagros” parish in Barrancabermeja, coordinator of the diocesan commission for youth pastoral ministry, administrator of the “La Sagrada Familia” parish in Barrancabermeja, diocesan director of catechesis and director of the “San Pedro Claver” Seminary. He is currently pastor of the “La Inmaculada” Cathedral (since 2009) and diocesan vicar for pastoral ministry (since 2013).
