La Commissione Bilaterale Permanente di Lavoro tra la Santa Sede e lo Stato di Israele si è riunita oggi, 18 gennaio 2017, in sessione Plenaria, a Gerusalemme, per continuare i negoziati in base all’Articolo 10 §2 del "Fundamental Agreement" tra la Santa Sede e lo Stato di Israele del 1993.
L’incontro è stato presieduto dal Sig. Tzachi Hanegbi, Ministro della Cooperazione Regionale dello Stato di Israele, e da Mons. Antoine Camilleri, Sotto-Segretario per i Rapporti con gli Stati.
La Sessione Plenaria ha accolto i progressi compiuti dalla Commissione di lavoro riguardante i negoziati in base all’Art. 10 §2 e si compiace che essi si siano svolti in una atmosfera riflessiva e costruttiva. La Plenaria riconosce, inoltre, il lavoro fatto dal Ministero della Giustizia riguardo l’applicazione dell’Accordo Bilaterale del 1997 sulla Personalità Giuridica. Le Parti hanno concordato i passi futuri, in vista della prossima Plenaria prevista per marzo 2017 nella Città del Vaticano.
Dopo la riunione della Commissione Bilaterale di Lavoro, la Santa Sede e lo Stato di Israele hanno tenuto una sessione di consultazioni bilaterali presso il Ministero degli Esteri. Le Delegazioni hanno discusso materie di comune interesse e hanno esplorato nuove opportunità di cooperazione.

The Bilateral Permanent Working Commission between the Holy See and the State of Israel met today, 18th January 2017, in Jerusalem, at the Plenary level, to continue negotiations pursuant to the Fundamental Agreement between the Holy See and the State of Israel of 1993, Art. 10 paragraph The meeting was headed by Mr. Tzachi Hanegbi, Minister for Regional Cooperation of the State of Israel, and by Mgr. Antoine Camilleri, Undersecretary for the Holy See's Relations with States.
The Plenary welcomed the progress accomplished at the working level regarding the negotiations pursuant to Art. 10 paragraph 2, and is pleased that they continue in a thoughtful and constructive atmosphere. The Plenary further acknowledges the work of the Ministry of Justice regarding the implementation of the 1997 Bilateral Legal Personality Agreement. The Parties have agreed on future steps, in view of the next Plenary meeting scheduled for March 2017, in Vatican City.
Following the BPWC meeting, the Holy See and the State of Israel held a bilateral dialogue at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegations discussed matters of common interest and explored new opportunities for cooperation.
