Today, 4 December 2025, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV received in Audience, in the Vatican Apostolic Palace, the President of Mongolia, His Excellency Mr. Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness, and the Reverend Monsignor Mihăiță Blaj, Undersecretary for Relations with States.

During the cordial talks held at the Secretariat of State, attention was given to the good relations between the Holy See and Mongolia, and the shared desire to further develop cooperation, including in the cultural sphere. The parties also noted the positive contribution offered by the local Catholic Church to Mongolian society, particularly in the fields of education and healthcare.
