Notice from the Office of Liturgical Celebrations – Novendiali in memory of the Roman Pontiff Francis, 23.04.2025

NOTIFICATION

NOVENDIALI
IN MEMORY OF THE ROMAN PONTIFF
FRANCIS

In accordance with ancient custom, for nine consecutive days particular celebrations of the Eucharist will be held in memory of the deceased Roman Pontiff, starting with the funeral Mass.

These celebrations are open to all. However, each day they will involve the participation of a different group, taking into account its links with the Roman Pontiff. This variety of assemblies shows, in a certain way, both the scope of the ministry of the Supreme Pastor and the universality of the Church of Rome (cf. Ordo Exsequiarum Romani Pontificis, nos. 124-125).
