The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the metropolitan archdiocese of Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, presented by Archbishop Paul Yembuado Ouédraogo.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Laurent Birfuoré Dabiré, until now bishop of the diocese of Dori, as metropolitan archbishop of the same archdiocese.
Curriculum vitae
Archbishop-elect Laurent Birfuoré Dabiré was born on 17 September 1965 in Dissin, diocese of Diébougou. He was ordained a priest on 29 December 1995 and incardinated in the diocese of Diébougou.
After ordination, he first held the role of professor at the Saint Tarcisius Minor Seminary of Diébougou (1996-1998). He was awarded a doctorate in Utoque Iure in Rome (1998-2005), and went on to serve as judicial vicar and chancellor (since 2005), official of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the province of Bobo Dioulasso (since 2006), professor at the Saint Jean Baptiste Major Seminary (2007-2008), professor of law at the Unité Universitaire in Bamako, Mali (since 2011).
On 31 January 2013 he was appointed bishop of the diocese of Dori, receiving episcopal consecration the following 4 May.
Since 2019, he has held the office of president of the Episcopal Conference of Burkina Faso and Niger.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Macapá, Brazil, presented by Bishop Pedro José Conti.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Antônio de Assis Ribeiro, S.D.B., as bishop of the same diocese, transferring him from the titular see of Babra and the office of auxiliary of Belém do Pará.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Antônio de Assis Ribeiro, S.D.B., was born on 26 July 1966 in Capitão Poço. He studied philosophy in Manaus-AM and subsequently attended the Universidade Católica de Brasília (UCB). He then studied theology at the Salesian Pontifical University of Rome and was awarded a licentiate in moral theology from the Alphonsian Academy, Rome.
He gave his religious vows on 10 January 1987 in the Salesian Society of Saint John Bosco (Salesians), and was ordained a priest on 17 June 1995.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar and formator in Manaus-AM (1996-1997), director of the Escola Salesiana de Trabalho in Belém-PA (2000-2003), advisor to the São Domingos Sávio inspectorate (2002-2007), director of the Salesian Mission and the parish of Iauaretê, in the diocese of São Gabriel da Cachoeira-AM (2006) director of the Colégio Dom Bosco (2007-2008) and parish priest of Dom Bosco in Manaus-AM (2007-2009), director of the Salesian Work and parish priest in Manicoré, in the diocese of Humaitá-AM (2009-2012), professor of moral theology at the Instituto Regional de Educação Presbiterial in Belém-PA (2000-2005), provincial Vicar and Delegate of Youth and Vocational Pastoral in the Salesian inspectorate of São Domingos Sávio in Manaus - AM (since 2013).
On 28 June 2017 he was appointed titular bishop of Babra and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Belém-PA, receiving episcopal ordination on 2 September 2017.
