BAMBINO GESU PAEDIATRIC HOSPITAL:
TIZIANO ONESTI APPOINTED PRESIDENT

The Cardinal Secretary of State, on the basis of the powers conferred on him by His Holiness Pope Francis, has appointed Tiziano Onesti as President of the Board of Directors of the Bambino Gesù Paediatric Hospital for the next three years, with effect from 1 April 2023.

Born in Rocca di Papa in 1960, Tiziano Onesti is full professor of business economics at the University of Roma Tre, and has held various positions of administration and control at leading commercial companies (including Ferrovie dello Stato, Trenitalia, Eni, Telecom, Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso, Aeroporti di Puglia) and non-profit organizations.

Since 2017, Professor Tiziano Onesti has been a member of the Hospital's Board of Auditors, and his appointment follows the resignation presented at the beginning of February by Dr. Mariella Enoc, 79, who had held the position of president since 2015.

At the same time, Dr. Mariella Enoc was appointed Consultant for the hospital's development projects for the time being.

The changeover comes at a time of great growth for the Hospital, with many initiatives underway, including the new headquarters, the digitization process and the strengthening of the new organizational model, while continuing to enhance the managerial skills widely present in the Hospital.

The Bambino Gesù Paediatric Hospital continues its mission of research and care for children and young people from all over Italy and from around the world.
