The organizing Committee of the meeting on “The protection of minors in the Church”, which will be held in the Vatican from 21 to 24 February 2019 in the New Synod Hall, gathered in Rome on Thursday 10 January

At the end of the works, the Holy Father received in audience the members of the Committee, who provided him with an update on the preparation of the meeting. It will include plenary sessions, working groups, moments of common prayer and listening to testimonies, a penitential liturgy and a final Eucharistic celebration. Pope Francis assured them of his presence for the entire duration of the meeting.

The Holy Father has entrusted to the Rev. Fr. Federico Lombardi, S.J., the task of moderating the plenary sessions of the meeting.
