The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Hong Kong, in Continental China, presented by His Eminence Cardinal John Tong Hon.
He is succeeded by His Excellency Msgr. Michael Yeung Ming-cheung, coadjutor of the same diocese.

The Pope has appointed Msgr. Michel Pansard as bishop of the diocese of Évry-Corbeil-Esonnes, France, transferring him from the see of Chartres.
Msgr. Michel Pansard
Msgr. Michel Pansard was born on 16 July 1955 in Rennes, in the archdiocese of the same name. He carried out his studies in philosophy and theology in the interdiocesan seminary of Issy-les-Moulineaux. He later completed his studies in theology at the Institut Catholique in Paris, obtaining a licentiate in theology.
He was ordained a priest on 19 June 1982 for the diocese of Nanterre.
After ordination, he held the following ministerial offices: chaplain of the colleges and lyceums of Sceaux (1982-1988) and vicar of the parish of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Sceaux (1982-1985); professor and spiritual director of the Saint Sulpice seminary in Issy-les-Moulineaux (1988-2000); head of continuing formation of priests in the diocese (1994-2003); and vicar general of Nanterre (2000-2005).
On 21 December 2005 he was elected to the Episcopal see of Chartres and consecrated on the following 5 February.
