At 9 a.m. today, in the Redemptoris Mater Chapel, the Preacher of the Papal Household, Rev. Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa, O.F.M. Cap., gave the first Sermon of Lent.

The theme of the Lenten meditations is: “No one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord’, except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3).

The next four Sermons of Lent will take place on Friday 17, 24 and 31 March, and Friday 7 April.
