POPE LEO XIV AT VERANO CEMETERY

Pope Leo XIV will preside over the Eucharistic Celebration on Sunday 2 November at 16.00

On Sunday 2 November, day of commemoration of all the Faithful Departed, at 16.00 Pope Leo XIV will preside over the Eucharistic Celebration at the monumental entrance of Verano Cemetery.

On the occasion of the Solemnity of All Saints and the commemoration of the deceased, celebrations are also planned in the other Roman cemeteries. In particular, at the Laurentino Cemetery (Via Laurentina km 13,500), on Saturday 1 November, Mass will be held at 11.00 and at 15.30, concelebrated by priests from the prefecture who wish to do so. On 2 November Mass will be held at 11.00, followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 15.00 and the Eucharistic Celebration at 16.00.

At the Cemetery of Ostia Antica (Via di Piana Bella), Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 1 November at 15.00. The following day, Eucharistic Celebrations will be held at 15.00 at the Flaminio Cemetery (also known as Prima Porta, Via Flaminia km 14,400), and at 15.30 at the Portuense Cemetery (Via Isacco Newton).

 

Accreditation procedure – Journalists and media operators who wish to attend the Pope’s celebration at Verano Cemetery must apply no later than 12 noon on Friday 31 October, via the Holy See Press Office online accreditation system, at press.vatican.va/accreditamenti.
