International Award Ceremony “Economy and Society

Announcement and presentation of the winning works

 

The ceremony will be chaired by the Secretary of State His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin

The award ceremony will take place in Rome - Tuesday, 27 February 2024 Istituto Maria Bambina - sala Giovanni Paolo II - via Paolo VI, 21

•          The essay entitled Vulnerability. Towards a more humane ethics by Carolina Montero Orphanopoulos, won the sixth edition of the "Economics and Society" International prize for the publications section.

The Laudatio of the award winning work will be pronounced by His Eminence Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Archbishop of Munich and Freising, Jury Chairman.

The Award is promoted by the Centesimus Annus - Pro Pontifice Foundation and is awarded every two years to economic and social publications that stand out for providing an original contribution to the understanding and application of the Social Doctrine of the Church and are recognized for their doctrinal solidity, as well as being comprehensible to the general public.

•          For the scholarship section – III edition, held annually and reserved for young researchers under 35, the winners are:

Sebastian Panreck, The Effect of Market Integration on Fairness Behaviour, Westfälische Wilhelmsuniversität (Münster);

Andrea Roncella, After Shareholder Capitalism: the Purpose-Commitment Organization, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan).
