The Holy Father has appointed as Apostolic Nuncio to the Kingdom of Tonga H.E. Archbishop Gábor Pintér, Titular Archbishop of Velebusdo, until now Apostolic Nuncio to New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Samoa and Vanuatu, as well as Apostolic Delegate to the Pacific Ocean.
