This morning, the Holy Father Leo XIV received in Audience the President of the French Republic, His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Macron, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness, accompanied by His Excellency Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations.

During the cordial talks, which took place at the Secretariat of State, reference was made to the good relations between the Holy See and France.

The discussion then turned to significant international issues, with an exchange of views on situations of conflict around the world, in the hope that peaceful coexistence might be restored through dialogue and negotiation.
