“STATION” IN THE BASILICA OF SAINT SABINA ON THE AVENTINE HILL
PRESIDED OVER BY THE HOLY FATHER
LEO XIV
1. On the day of the beginning of Lent, a celebration will take place in the form of the Roman “Stations”, presided over by the Holy Father Leo XIV, with the following schedule:
- At 16.30, in the Church of Saint Anselm on the Aventine Hill, the liturgy of the “Stations” will begin, followed by the penitential procession towards the Basilica of Saint Sabina.
The Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, Benedictine Monks of Saint Anselm, the Dominican Fathers of Saint Sabina, and some faithful will take part in the procession.
- At the end of the procession, in the Basilica of Saint Sabina, the Eucharistic Celebration will take place in which the ashes will be blessed and imposed.

2. The Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, Benedictine Monks and Dominican Fathers who wish to take part in the celebration are invited to be present by 16.00 in the Church of Saint Anselm, wearing their own choral habit.
