ON THE CENTRAL SECTOR OF THE DIOCESE OF ROME

While the motivation, premises and considerations set out in the Motu Proprio La vera bellezza, issued on 4 October 2024 by my venerable Predecessor, remain unchanged, and considering that some reflections concerned precisely the Jubilee Year that is about to end, in which, nevertheless, not only a specificity but also a homogeneity and unity of the Central Sector of the Diocese of Rome emerged even more clearly, with this Apostolic Letter in the form of a Motu Proprio, I establish and decree that the five Prefectures, from I to V, shall once again become part of a single Central Sector, which shall therefore be added once more to the other four Sectors of the Diocese of Rome.

I order that what has been decided in this Apostolic Letter shall have firm and stable force, notwithstanding anything to the contrary, even if worthy of special mention, and that it shall be promulgated by publication in L’Osservatore Romano, entering into force on the day of publication, and subsequently included in the official commentary of the Acta Apostolicae Sedis.
