This morning, in the Vatican Apostolic Palace, the Holy Father Leo XIV received in audience His Excellency Mr. Fadi Assaf, Ambassador of Lebanon to the Holy See, on the occasion of the presentation of his credential letters.
The following is a brief biography of the new Ambassador:

Ambassador of Lebanon to the Holy See
His Excellency Mr. Fadi Assaf was born on 6 June 1966 in Beirut, and has two children.
He obtained the Maîtrise in economic sciences from Saint Joseph University, Beirut (1989). At teh Université Panthéon-Assas Paris 2 he was awarded a Diplôme d’études supérieures spécialisées (D.E.S.S.) in international relations and strategic affairs (1990), and a doctorate in international relations (1994).
He has served as an expert in international relations, strategic affairs, risk assessment and economic diplomacy; consultant for international businesses in the market of the Gulf and Arab states; advisor in various offices, including counsellor and coordinator of studies at the Presidency of the Republic and ministerial advisor to the government; director-general of Patronat Libanais; professor of international relations at the Sagesse and Saint-Joseph Universities, as well as coordinator of strategic research and study centres; and founder of Middle East Strategic Perspectives.
