The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Augustin Simmel Ndiaye, of the clergy of Dakar, until now rector of the Catholic University of West Africa (UCAO) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, as bishop of the diocese of Saint-Louis du Sénégal, Senegal.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Augustin Simmel Ndiaye was born on 2 January 1959 in Fadiouth. He studied philosophy and theology at the François Libermann Interdiocesan Major Seminary of Sébikhotane, Dakar.
He was ordained a priest on 9 April 1983.
After ordination, he first held the role of vicar of the Cathedral of Notre Dames des Victoires in Dakar (1983-1988). He was awarded a doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical Urbaniana University of Rome (1988-1922), and went on to serve as vicar of Sainte Thérèse in Grand-Dakar (1992-1993), professor of canon law, methodology and introduction to sacramental liturgical practice in the François Libermann Interdiocesan Major Seminary of Sébikhotane (1992-1998), president of the Union of Senegalese Clergy (1996-1999), rector (1998-2005) and professor of canon law (1998-2014) at the François Libermann Interdiocesan Major Seminary of Sébikhotane, president of the interdiocesan tribunal of Thiès, member of the Council for Economic Affairs of the metropolitan archdiocese of Dakar, parish priest of the Cathedral of Notre Dames des Victoires (2005-2014), fidei donum in the diocese of Angers, France, internship at the ecclesiastical tribunal of Angers (2014-2018), and parish priest of Sainte Marthe in Mbour (2018-2020). Since 2020 he has served as rector of the Catholic University of West Africa (UCAO) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Ronald Anthony Parco Timoner, of the clergy of the diocese of Daet, until now diocesan administrator and parish priest of San Juan Bautista, as bishop of the diocese of Pagadian, Philippines.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Ronald Anthony Parco Timoner was born in Daet on 13 August 1971. He carried out his studies in philosophy at the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary of Naga City, and in theology at the UST Central Seminary of Manila. He was awarded a licentiate in theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas – Angelicum.
He was ordained a priest on 1 May 1997 for the diocese of Daet.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Our Lady of Candelaria in Paracale (1997), parish vicar of Saint Francis of Assisi in Talisay (1998), spiritual director of Holy Trinity College Seminary in Labo (1998-2000), prefect of discipline and procurator of Holy Trinity College Seminary in Labo (2000-2004), chaplain of the Church of Saint Thomas in Milan, Italy (2004-2008), chancellor of the diocese of Daet (2008-2016), director of the SPACFI-Socio-Pastoral Action Center Foundation in Daet (since 2015), vicar general (2017), diocesan administrator (2017), parish priest of San Juan Bautista in Daet, Camarines Norte (since 2017), and diocesan administrator (since 2024).

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Giacomo Cardinali, until now Aiuto Scriptor of the Vatican Apostolic Library, as Scriptor Latinus of the same Institution and, at the same time, appointed him vice prefect of the Vatican Apostolic Library.
Curriculum vitae
The Reverend Cardinali was born on 16 June 1977 in Mondavio, Pesaro-Urbino, Italy. He received presbyteral ordination on 6 April 2013, and was incardinated in the diocese of Fano-Fossombrone-Cagli-Pergola. He graduated in history of philology and the Classical tradition from the University of Siena in 2001. He obtained a diploma at the Vatican School of Paleography, Diplomatics and Archivistics in 2006, and was awarded a doctorate in ancient and neo-Latin language and letters from the University of Metz, France, in 2008.
In service at the Vatican Apostolic Library since 1 September 2015, he was appointed Aiuto Scriptor in 2019 and is the author of numerous scientific, narrative and journalistic publications.
