“Meeting Point” – 5 December 2024

Meeting with some of the new Cardinals – 6 and 7 December 2024

 

Tomorrow, Thursday 5 December 2024, at 11.30, a “Meeting Point” with journalists will be held at the Holy See Press Office, Via della Conciliazione 54, to present the new management team of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, a papal work created by Pope Francis, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its re-founding.

The following will be present and available to the press for interviews:

Fr. Frédéric Fornos, S.J., international director of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network (2014-2014) and president of the Vatican Foundation (French, Spanish, Italian and English);

Fr. Federico Lombardi, S.J., member of the Board of Directors of the Vatican Foundation (Italian, Spanish, English and French);

The Reverend Msgr. Lucio Adrián Ruiz, secretary of the Dicastery for Communication (Italian and Spanish);

Sr. Nathalie Becquart, X.M.C.J., member of the Board of Directors of the Vatican Foundation (French, English and Italian);

Fr. Cristobal Fones, S.J., deputy international director of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network since January 2024, international director appointed by the Holy Father with effect from January 2025, and president of the Vatican Foundation (Spanish, English and Italian);

Ms. Bettina Raed, deputy international director of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network since September 2024, Latin American coordinator since 2022, and coordinator of international formation since 2018 (Spanish and English);

Fr. Miguel Pedro Melo, S.J., deputy international director of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, with effect from July 2025 (Portuguese, Spanish and English).

 

Accreditation and participation procedures

Journalists and media operators who wish to participate in the Meeting Point must apply no less than 24 hours prior to the event, via the Holy See Press Office online accreditation system at https://press.vatican.va/accreditamenti, selecting the event:Meeting point Presentazione team direttivo Rete Mondiale di preghiera del Papa.

Journalists and media operators who are admitted will receive confirmation of participation via the online accreditation system.

Journalists and media operators accredited for the Meeting Point are requested to be present 30 minutes before the starting time.

 

 

Meeting with some of the new Cardinals, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December 2024

Accredited journalists are invited to a meeting at the Holy See Press Office on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December 2024, from 10.00 to 12.00, with some of the new Cardinals who will be created during the Ordinary Public Consistory to be presided over by the Holy Father Francis in Saint Peter’s Basilica on Saturday 7 December at 16.00.

The following is a list of the Cardinals whose presence is confirmed:

Accreditation and participation procedure

Journalists and media operators admitted to the event will receive confirmation of participation via the online accreditation system.
