The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Segovia, Spain, presented by Bishop César Augusto Franco Martínez.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Jesús Vidal Chamorro as bishop of the same diocese, transferring him from the titular see of Elepla and the office of auxiliary bishop of the metropolitan archdiocese of Madrid.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Chamorro was born in Madrid on 6 May 1974. He was awarded a licentiate in economics from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and in theology from the Universidad Eclesiástica San Dámaso. He was ordained a priest on 8 May 2004, and incardinated in the metropolitan archdiocese of Madrid.
He has held the following offices: deputy parish priest of Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Fátima (2004), vice chaplain and chaplain of General Catholic Action of Madrid, and vice rector and rector of Santo Niño del Remedio (2004-2008 and 2008-2015), diocesan chaplain (2008-2013) and national vice chaplain (2010-2013) of Manos Unidas, member of the Presbyteral Council (2012-2015), episcopal delegate for pastoral care of childhood and youth (2013-2015), rector of the major seminary (2015-2018), parish priest of Santa Maria de la Cabeza (2016-2018) and member of the College of Consultors (2017-2018).
He was appointed titular bishop of Elepla and auxiliary of the metropolitan archdiocese of Madrid, receiving episcopal consecration on 17 February 2018. He has served as apostolic administrator of Alcalá de Henares (2022-2023). Within the Spanish Episcopal Conference, he is chair of the Under Commission for Seminaries (since 2020), as well as pontifical delegate for the major seminaries of Spain (since 2023).

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Pyay, Myanmar, presented by Bishop Alexander Pyone Cho.
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Peter Tin Wai, of the clergy of the diocese of Pyay, until now parish priest of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, Kyaukpyu, as bishop of the diocese of Pyay.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Peter Tin Wai was born on 2 July 1965 in Natshinchaung. He studied philosophy at the major seminary of Pyin Oo Lwin and theology at the major seminary of Yangon.
He was ordained a priest on 21 March 1999 for the clergy of Pyay.
After ordination, he first served as parish vicar of Sacred Heart, Rakhine (1999-2005). He was awarded a licentiate in moral theology from the Pontifical Alphonsian Academy in Rome (2005-2007), parish priest of Saint Mary’s, Natshinchaung, Minbya Township (2008-2009), professor of moral theology at the Institute of Theology of Saint Joseph, Yangon (2009-2012), rector of the Saint Paul Minor Seminary, Pyay (2012-2015), diocesan chancellor of Pyay (2015-2017), and since 2017, parish priest of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, Kyaupyu.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Rufino C. Sescon, Jr., of the clergy of the metropolitan archdiocese of Manila, rector and parish priest of the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno of Quiapo and episcopal vicar of Manila, as bishop of the diocese of Balanga, Philippines.

Bishop Rufino C. Sescon, Jr., was born on 20 April 1972 in Manila. He studied philosophy and theology at the San Carlos Seminary of Manila and the Graduate School of Theology of San Carlos Seminary, obtaining a master’s degree in both disciplines.
He was ordained a priest on 19 September 1998 for the metropolitan archdiocese of Manila.
He has held the following offices: deacon of Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sta. Mesa and finance officer of the Sta.
