Today, 29 November 2024, in the Apostolic Palace, the Holy Father Francis received in audience His Excellency Mr. David Choquehuanca Céspedes, Vice President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, accompanied by His Excellency Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations.

During the cordial discussions, which took place at the Secretariat of State, the good relations between the Holy See, Bolivia and the local Church were emphasized, focusing on the contribution of the latter to Bolivian society.

Attention then turned to some aspects of the country’s political and socio-economic situation.
