The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the apostolic vicariate of Anatolia presented by Bishop Paolo Bizzeti, S.J.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Antuan Ilgit, S.J., until now auxiliary bishop of the apostolic vicariate of Anatolia, as apostolic administrator sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the same ecclesiastical circumscription.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Antuan Ilgit, S.J., was born on 22 June 1972 in Hersbruck, Germany. He was awarded a licentiate in public administration at the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences of Gazi Üniversitesi in Ankara. In 2005 he entered the novitiate of the Society of Jesus. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, he received a licentiate in moral theology, specializing in bioethics, from the Alphonsian Academy. He then completed a two-year master’s degree in medical ethics at Saint Joseph’s University, United States of America, and a doctorate in moral theology at the School of Theology and Ministry of Boston College (2017).
He was ordained a priest on 26 June 2010 for the Province of Italy of the Society of Jesus, and gave his solemn vows in the same Order on 19 November 2022 in Ankara.
He has held the following offices: assistant parish priest of the Turkish-speaking Catholic community of the parish of Meryemana in Ankara, and bursar of the local Jesuit community (2010-2011), community animator, member of the formation team and spiritual father at the Pontifical Interregional Seminary of Campania in Posillipo (2017-2020), lecturer in moral theology and bioethics at the San Luigi Section of the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy (2017-2023), and delegate vicar and chancellor of the apostolic vicariate of Anatolia (since 2022).
He is spokesman of the Turkish Episcopal Conference, head of youth and vocational pastoral care and chair of the National Commission for Catechesis.
On 28 August 2023 he was appointed auxiliary bishop of the apostolic vicariate of Anatolia, and assigned the titular see of Tubernuca.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Romeo Duetao Convocar, of the clergy of the metropolitan archdiocese of Agaña, Guam, until now parish priest of Blessed Diego Luis de San Vitores in Tamuning, Guam, as bishop of Chalan Kanoa, Northern Mariana Islands.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Romeo Duetao Convocar was born on 13 April 1970 in Janiuay, Iloilo, Philippines. He carried out his studies in philosophy in Dumaguete City, Philippines (1987-1991) and in theology in Jaro, Philippines (1991-1996). He was ordained a priest on 17 September 1996 and incardinated first in the military ordinariate of the Philippines, from which he was excardinated on 15 March 2016, in order to be incardinated in the metropolitan archdiocese of Agaña.
After ordination, he first held the roles of chaplain in service at the Office of the Military Ordinary (1996-1997), and interim chaplain of the Southern (1997-1998) and Northern Command (1998-2002) of the Filipino armed forces. He completed the basic (1998) and advanced (2002) courses for military officials at the Combat Arm School, Training and Doctrine Command, Army of the Philippines, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, and went on to serve as chaplain of the Central Command of the Filipino armed forces and chaplain of the naval base of Cavite (2002-2004), chaplain of the military base at Fort Bonifacio (2004-2006), parish administrator of Saint Joseph, Inarajan, Guam (2006-2007), spiritual father at the Seminary of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines, Domus Josephi Formation Centre (2007-2012), parish priest of Sant Isidro, Malolojloj, Guam (2012-2018), and rector of the archdiocesan seminary of Guam, Saint John Paul II the Great (2014-2017). After completing a course of Tribunal Practice at the Institute of Tribunal Practice in Sydney, Australia (2017-2018), he held the offices of rector of the Basilica of the Dulce Nombre de Maria, Agaña, Guam (2018-2022), vicar general of the metropolitan archdiocese of Agaña (2022-2023), apostolic administrator of the metropolitan archdiocese of Agaña (2023-2024), and parish priest of Blessed Diego Luis de San Vitores in Tamuning, Guam (since 2022).
Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Manaus, Brazil
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Fr. Samuel Ferreira de Lima, O.F.M., until now master of novices and parish vicar of São Francisco de Assis in Rodeio – SC, as auxiliary bishop of the metropolitan archdiocese of Manaus, Brazil, assigning him the titular see of Nasbinca.

Msgr. Samuel Ferreira de Lima, O.F.M., was born on 28 May 1967 in Rio de Janeiro, in the archdiocese of the same name. He carried out his studies in philosophy at the Instituto Filosófico São Boaventura in Campo Largo – Paraná, and in theology at the Instituto Teológico Franciscano in Petrópolis – RJ. He gave his religious vows in the Order of Friars Minor on 24 September 1993, and received priestly ordination on 27 January 1996.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar on mission in Angola (diocese of Luanda and Malanje) and formator of seminarians and professor of philosophy (1996-2006), deputy master of the postulate, assistant to the Poor Clares and provincial moderator of Missionary Evangelization in Guaratinguetá - SP (2006-2009); master of novices and parish vicar at São Francisco de Assis in Rodeio - SC (2010-2018); master of temporary vows at Campo Largo - PR (2019-2021); guardian and treasurer of the Franciscan Fraternities, assistant to the Secular Franciscan Order and vocational animator.
From 2022 to the present he has served as master of novices and parish vicar of São Francisco de Assis in Rodeio - SC.
