Appointment of members of the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches
The Holy Father has appointed the following as members of the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches: His Beatitude Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian, of the Institute of the Patriarchal Clergy of Bzommar, Patriarch of Cilicia of the Armenians, and His Beatitude Raphael Thattil, major archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly of the Syro-Malabars, India.
In addition, the Roman Pontiff has appointed the following as members of the same Dicastery for the Eastern Churches: His Eminence Cardinal José Cobo Cano, archbishop of Madrid and ordinary for Eastern faithful resident in Spain without a hierarchy of their own sui iuris Church; Archbishop Salvatore Fisichella, pro-prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, Section for Fundamental Questions regarding evangelization in the world; Archbishop Filippo Iannone, O.Carm., prefect of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts; Archbishop Laurent Ulrich of Paris, ordinary for Eastern faithful resident in France without a hierarchy of their own sui iuris Church; Archbishop Jorge Ignacio García Cuerva of Buenos Aires, ordinary for Eastern faithful resident in Argentina without a hierarchy of their own sui iuris Church; Archbishop Jozef Maxim, of the Ukrainian Studite Monks, archbishop of Prešov for Catholics of Byzantine rite, Slovakia; and Bishop Gregor Maria Hanke, O.S.B., of Eichstätt, Germany.
