EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION
AND OPENING OF THE ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE SYNOD OF BISHOPS

PAPAL CHAPEL

On Wednesday 2 October, at 9.30, on the parvis of Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Holy Father will preside over the Eucharistic celebration on the occasion of the Opening of the Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops.

The following may concelebrate with the Holy Father:

- The Patriarchs and Cardinals, who must be present in the Chapel of Saint Sebastian by 8.45, bringing with them the white damask mitre;

- The Archbishops, Bishops and Priests, members of the Synod, bringing the appropriate ticket, who must be present in the Braccio di Costantino by 8.45. Archbishops and Bishops must bring their amice, surplice, cincture and white mitre; the Presbyters must bring their amice, surplice and cincture;

- The other Archbishops and Bishops, bringing the appropriate ticket requested at this Office by 27 September via the procedure indicated at https://biglietti.liturgiepontificie.va, who must be present by 8.30 in the sector reserved for them in Saint Peter’s Square, where they will put on their amice, surplice, cincture and white stole, to be brought with them.

In accordance with the Motu Proprio Pontificalis Domus, all members of the Pontifical Chapel who wish to participate in the liturgical celebration must be in possession of the Notification, which is to be requested at celebrazioni@celebra.va by 27 September. All are required to wear their own choral habit and to be present on the parvis of the Basilica by 9.00, in order to occupy the place that will be indicated to them by the Pontifical Master of Ceremonies.
