The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Fr. Eliseo Napiere, M.S.P. until now member of the Presbyteral Council and parish priest of Saint James the Less in Perris, in the diocese of San Bernardino, United States of America, as ecclesiastical superior of the Missio sui iuris of Funafati, Tuvalu.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Eliseo Napiere, M.S.P., was born on 14 June 1965 in Maribojoc, Bohol, Philippines.
He was ordained a priest on 19 January 1991.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of the Blessed Sacrament, Reclamation Area, Cebu City (1991-1992), Scholastic Director and Procurator of Fil-Mission Seminary, Tagaytay City, Cavite, Philippines (1992-1994); member of the General Council and Bursar General M.S.P. (1994-1999); missionary in the diocese of Taichung, Taiwan (2002-2016); executive secretary of the Chinese Regional Bishops’ Conference, Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People, national director of the Apostleship of the Sea/Pastor-Blessed Sacrament Church, diocesan migrants’ director and chaplain, diocese of Taichung, Taiwan (2007-2016); parish vicar of Saint Edward, Corona, diocese di San Bernardino, United States of America (2016-2018); and since 2018, member of the Presbyteral Council and parish priest of Saint James the Less in Perris, United States of America.
