On Thursday 16 May 2024, at 11.30, a press conference will be held in the Holy See Press Office, Sala San Pio X, Via dell’Ospedale 1, to present World Children’s Day, organized by the Dicastery for Culture and Education, to take place in Rome on 25 and 26 May.
The speakers will be:
- His Eminence Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education;
- Fr. Enzo Fortunato, O.F.M. Conv., coordinator of World Children’s Day;
- Professor Marco Impagliazzo, president of the Sant’Egidio Community;
- Hannah Imordi and Rahila Saya, Global Humanities, La Sapienza University of Rome;
- Aldo Cagnoli, deputy coordinator of World Children’s Day.
The following will be present: the President of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca; the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri; the President of Sport and Salute, Marco Mezzaroma; the managing director of Trenitalia Gruppo FS, Luigi Corradi; and Domenico Alagia of the Auxilium Cooperative.

On Friday 17 May 2024, at 12.00, a press conference will be held in the Holy See Press Office, Sala San Pio X, Via dell’Ospedale 1, to present the new provisions of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith for discerning between apparitions and other supernatural phenomena.
The speakers will be:
- His Eminence Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith;
- Msgr. Armando Matteo, secretary for the Doctrinal Section of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith;
- Sr. Daniela Del Gaudio, S.F.I., director of the International Observatory for Marian apparitions and mystical phenomena of the Pontifical International Marian Academy, lecturer in Mariology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum and the San Bonaventura Faculty of Rome.
