The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the metropolitan archdiocese of Hartford, United States of America, presented by Archbishop Leonard P. Blair.

He is succeeded by Archbishop Christopher J. Coyne, previously coadjutor archbishop of the same archdiocese.
