Election of auxiliary bishop of the Patriarchal eparchy of Beirut of the Armenians, Lebanon
The Holy Father has granted his assent to the election by the Synod of the Patriarchal Church of Cilicia of the Armenians of Reverend Fr. Robert (Krikor) Badichah, currently rector of the Patriarchal Seminary of Bzommar and secretary of the Synod, as auxiliary bishop of the eparchy of Beirut of the Armenians, assigning him the titular see of Artvin of the Armenians.
Curriculum vitae
Robert (Krikor) Badichah was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on 1 February 1983. He entered the minor seminary of Bzommar where he carried out his secondary studies, and then attended the Saint Paul University of Harissa, for his studies in philosophy and theology.
In 2007 he was sent to Rome, to the Pontifical Armenian College, to continue his studies, obtaining a licentiate in the Social Doctrine of the Church at the Pontifical Gregorian University, a licentiate in theology of the family from the Pontifical Saint John II Institute, and a diploma as formator from the Salesian Pontifical University.
He received priestly ordination on 11 December 2010. He is a member of the Institute for the Patriarchal Clergy of Bzommar, and served for a year in the parish school of Zalka.
From 2011 to 2017 he was vice rector of the Pontifical Armenian College in Rome.
He is rector of the Patriarchal Seminary of Bzommar and secretary of the Synod.
