The session of the Council of Cardinals was held on the 5th, 6th, and the afternoon of 7th February, at the Casa Santa Marta. It was attended by the Pope, the Cardinals who form the Council, and the Secretary.

After reflection on the morning of the 5th on the role of women in the Church, with contributions from Sr. Linda Pocher, Daughter of Mary Help of Christians and lecturer in Christology and Mariology at the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences “Auxilium”, Rome; Giuliva Di Berardino, member of the Ordo Virginum of the diocese of Verona, teacher and head of courses in spirituality and spiritual exercises; and the Reverend Dr. Jo Bailey Wells, bishop of the Church of England and under-secretary general of the Anglican Communion, the discussion continued in the afternoon on the synodal paths underway, particularly that of the universal Church.

The day of the 6th was dedicated to the theme of evangelization, accompanied by reports from the pro-prefects of the Dicastery for Evangelization, Archbishop Salvatore Fisichella and Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle.

The afternoon of the 7th provided the opportunity to explore more deeply the themes examined during the session, in the presence of the Holy Father.

The next session of the Council will be held in the month of April 2024.
