This morning, the Holy Father Francis received in audience His Excellency Mr. Reniery Augusto Jiménez Dubón, ambassador of Honduras to the Holy See, on the occasion of the presentation of his credential letters.
The following is a brief biography of the new ambassador:

Ambassador of Honduras to the Holy See
His Excellency Mr. Reniery Augusto Jiménez Dubón was born in 1947 and is married with five children.
Academic formation: degree in sciences and letters, from the San Miguel Salesian Institute in Tegucigalpa; doctorate in medicine and surgery, with subsequent specialization in digestive surgery; General Hospital San Pablo, Barcelona; various specialist courses in Spain, Japan, Chile, Cuba, the United Kingdom and Costa Rica.
He has held the following offices: deputy Health Mnister; regional health director; head of the Department of Surgery at Leonardo Martínez Hospital; head of the emergency department at Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital; head of surgery at Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital; deputy of the National Congress; chair of the Commission against Drug Trafficking.
