On Friday 8 September 2023, at 13.00, in the Holy See Press Office, Saint Pius X Hall, Via dell’Ospedale 1, a press conference will be held to present the initiative Together – Gathering of the People of God and the Ecumenical Prayer Vigil presided over by Pope Francis in Saint Peter’s Square this coming 30 September on the eve of the 16^th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the theme:”For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”.

During the conference, some updates on the 16^th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, to take place from 4 to 29 October 2023, will be presented.

The speakers will be:

- Dr. Paolo Ruffini, prefect of the Holy See Dicastery for Communication, president of the Commission for Information of the 16^th General Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops;

- Sr. Nathalie Becquart, X.M.C.J., under-secretary of the General Secretariat of the Synod;

- Fra’ Matthew of the Taizé Community.
