Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Mercedes-Luján, Argentina
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Mauricio Alberto Landra, of the clergy of the diocese of Gualeguaychú, until now rector of the diocesan seminary María, Madre de la Iglesia and president of the Interdiocesan Tribunal, assigning him the titular see of Trisipa.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Mauricio Alberto Landra was born in Larroque, diocese of Gualeguaychú, on 29 January 1972, and was ordained a priest for the same diocese on 18 December 1998.
He was awarded a doctorate in canon law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.
He has held the following offices: parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Lourdes and of the Cathedral; vicar general; vice president of Caritas; dean of the Faculty of Canon Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. He is currently judicial vicar, president of the Interdiocesan Tribunal, and rector of the María, Madre de la Iglesia diocesan Seminary.
