The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of São Raimundo Nonato, Brazil, presented by Bishop Eduardo Zielski.
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Fr. Ronilton Souza de Araújo, S.C.I., until now parish vicar of Santa Cruz, of the diocese of Macapá, as bishop of the diocese of São Raimundo Nonato, Brazil.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Ronilton Souza de Araújo, S.C.I., was born on 23 March 1967 in Ituiutaba, in the same diocese, in the State of Minas Gerais.
He carried out his studies in philosophy at the Faculdade Educacional de Brusque-SC and in theology at the Faculdade Dehoniana de Taubaté-SP. He specialized in psychopedagogy and spirituality. He attended courses for formators in Rome, offered by the Dehonian Priests and the Salesian Pontifical University.
He gave his religious vows on 25 February 1995 in the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Dehonians), and received priestly ordination on 7 December 2002.
He has held the following offices: formator of the postulantate in the seminary of Terra Boa-PR (2005); formator of the philosophy seminary in São Luís-MA; superior of the Brasil-São Luís District (2010-2015); provincial superior of the Brasil-São Paulo Province (2015-2021); parish vicar of Santa Luzia in the archdiocese of São Luís do Maranhão (2003-2004) and of Nossa Senhora Aparecida in Tapurah-MT (2021); from 2022 to the present he has served as parish vicar of Santa Cruz, in the diocese of Macapá-AP.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the metropolitan archdiocese of Aracaju, Brazil, presented by Archbishop João José da Costa, O. Carm., and has appointed Bishop Vítor Agnaldo de Menezes of Propriá as apostolic administrator sede vacante of the same see.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Pascal Chane-Teng, of the clergy of the diocese of Saint-Denis-de-La-Réunion, Overseas France, until now vicar general and secretary of the Presbyteral Council, as bishop of the same diocese.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Pascal Chane-Teng was born on 4 July 1971 in Le Tampon, La Réunion. He obtained a master’s degree in general law in Aix-en-Provence, and in private law in Clermont-Ferrand, in France, where he specialized in commercial law. He was subsequently awarded a licentiate in art history, again in Clermont-Ferrand, and attended courses in philosophy in the Saint-Denis Seminary in La Réunion, and in theology in the seminary of Bayonne, France. He was ordained a priest on 15 August 2004 for the diocese of Saint-Denis-de-La Réunion.
After ordination, he first held the offices of parish vicar of Saint-Benoît (2004); chaplain of Catholic Action for Independent Circles (2005); parish priest in solidum in Saint-Benoît (2005-2007); and formator at the Interdiocesan Seminary, Mauritius (2007). He studied for a diploma at the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome on relations between Chinese culture and Christian anthropology (2008-2010); administrator of the 12 km parish in Le Tampon (2012); parish priest of Notre Dame de la Délivrance (2013-2017); parish priest of Sainte-Marie and member of the Council for Interreligious Dialogue (2017); and since 2018, vicar general and secretary of the Presbyteral Council.
In addition, within the diocese he has held various offices such as: president of the Ecclesiastical Union; episcopal delegate to the Major Seminaries in France; head of the team for the Pastoral Project for Catholic Teaching; member of the Theological Commission of the C.E.D.O.I.; and moderator of the C.E.D.O.I. Assembly.
