The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the military ordinary for New Zealand, presented by His Eminence Cardinal John Atcherley Dew.

The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Paul Gerard Martin, S.M., of Wellington, as military ordinary for New Zealand.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the archdiocese of Strasbourg, France, presented by Archbishop Luc Ravel, C.R.S.V., and at the same time appointed Archbishop Philippe Ballot, bishop of Metz, as apostolic administrator sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the same archdiocese.
