Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Santiago de Chile, Chile

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Luis Alberto Migone Repetto, of the clergy of Santiago de Chile, Chile, spiritual director of the archdiocesan major seminary, as auxiliary bishop of the same archdiocese, assigning him the titular see of Amaura.

Curriculum vitae

Msgr. Luis Alberto Migone Repetto was born on 25 December 1959 in Santiago de Chile. After studying medicine at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), and philosophy and theology at the archdiocesan major seminary, he was awarded a licentiate in theology from the PUC.

He was ordained a priest on 1 April 1989 for the archdiocese of Santiago de Chile.

He has held the following offices: parish vicar (1989) and parish priest of San José in Santiago (1993); personal secretary to the archbishop of Santiago de Chile (1990-1993); formator (1994-2001) and, since 2001, spiritual director of the archdiocesan major seminary; since 2015, member of the Cathedral Chapter.
