Resignation and appointment of bishop of Trujillo, Honduras
The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Trujillo, Honduras, presented by Bishop Luis Solé Fa, C.M.
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Henry Orlando Ruiz Mora, of the clergy of Juticalpa, until now parish priest of San Francisco de Asís in La Unión, vicar for pastoral ministry and for the clergy, as bishop of the diocese of Trujillo.
Msgr. Henry Orlando Ruiz Mora was born on 25 January 1973 in Santa Cruz del Potrero, Department of Olancho. He carried out his studies in philosophy and theology in the Nuestra Señora de Suyapa Major Seminary of Tegucigalpa, and was ordained a priest on 30 May 1998, for the clergy of the diocese of Juticalpa.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of San Jerónimo Gualco and San Esteban, and head of Los Delegados de la Palabra (1998-1999); head of the San Pedro y San Pablo Minor Seminary in Juticalpa, campus chaplain of the Universidad Católica de Honduras Santa Clara in Juticalpa and head of university pastoral care (2000-2005); head of vocational pastoral care (2000-2013); parish priest of the Cathedral of Juticalpa (2002-2012); since 2007, head of the Cursillos de Cristiandad Movement; and parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Candelaria in Salamá (2012-2016). He is currently parish priest of San Francisco de Asís in La Unión, and vicar for pastoral ministry and the clergy.
