The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Msgr. Loïc Lagadec, until now vicar general of the diocese of Grenoble-Vienne, as auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Lyon, France, assigning hin the titular see of Carpentras.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Loïc Lagadec was born on 12 August 1974. After his diploma from the Superior School of Commerce in Montpellier, he continued his ecclesiastical studies in the Saint-Irénée Seminary of Lyon.
He was ordained a priest on 26 June 2005, and incardinated in the diocese of Grenoble-Vienne.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Saint-François d’Assise in Bourgoin-Jallieu (2005-2009); episcopal vicar for youth pastoral ministry (2009-2016); vicar general (2016-2023); and diocesan administrator (2022).
Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Durban, South Africa
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Elias Kwenzakufani Zondi, of the clergy of the metropolitan archdiocese of Durban, until now vicar general and parish priest of Saint James in Lamontville, as auxiliary bishop of the same archdiocese, assigning him the titular see of Rutabo.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Elias Kwenzakufani Zondi was born on 24 December 1963. After attending the Saint Paul Preparatory Seminary in Hammanskraal, he entered the Saint Peter Philosophical Seminary of Garsfontein, and subsequently the theological seminary of Saint John Vianney in Pretoria, where he was awarded a bachelor’s degree.
He was ordained a priest on 16 July 1994 for the archdiocese of Durban.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Christ the King in Wentworth (1994-1995); parish priest of Saint James in Mooi River (1996-2000); parish priest of KwaKristo Umsindisi and of Our Lady of Lourdes (2001-2015); since 2016, parish priest of Saint James in Lamontville; and since 2021, vicar general.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Claudio Pablo Castricone, of the clergy of the archdiocese of Rosario, until now parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Fatima and episcopal delegate of the pastoral care of the Barrios populares, as auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Orán, Argentina, assigning him the titular see of Castra Nova.

Msgr. Claudio Pablo Castricone was born on 16 April 1958 in Villa Constitución, in the archdiocese of Rosario. He carried out his ecclesiastical studies in the archdiocesan seminary of Rosario.
He was ordained a priest on 23 November 1984, and incardinated in the same archdiocese.
He has held the following offices: chaplain of the Colegio Santísimo Rosario; parish vicar in various communities; administrator of the parish of Nuestra Señora de La Paz; parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Itatí, San Vicente de Paúl and Nuestra Señora del Carmen; chaplain of the Hospital Español, episcopal delegate of penitentiary pastoral care; dean and member of the Presbyteral Council of the diocese of Formosa. Until now he has served as parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Fatima, member of the College of Consultors, member of the archdiocesan Board for Catechesis, dean and episcopal delegate for the pastoral care of the Barrios populares.
