On Thursday 27 October 2022, at 12.15, in the Holy See Press Office, a press conference will be held to present the Document for the Continental Phase of the Synod on Synodality, on the theme: “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”.
The Document for the Continental Phase is the outcome of the Syntheses resulting from consultation with the People of God in the first phase of the synodal process, and will be central during the time of listening, dialogue and discernment in the Continental Synodal Assemblies (January-March 2023).
The speakers will be:
- His Eminence Cardinal Mario Grech, secretary general of the Synod;
- His Eminence Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, S.J., archbishop of Luxembourg; general rapporteur of the 16th General Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops (by remote link);
- Professor Anna Rowlands, associate professor of Catholic social thought and practice, University of Durham;
- Fr. Giacomo Costa, S.J., consultor of the Secretariat General of the Synod;
- The Reverend Msgr. Piero Coda, secretary general of the International Theological Commission.
