Appointment of auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Quito, Ecuador
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Ángel Maximiliano Ordoñez Sigcho, parish priest of San Pedro in Cumbayá and adjunct secretary general of the Episcopal Conference as auxiliary of the archdiocese of Quito, Ecuador, assigning him the titular see of Felbes.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Ángel Maximiliano Ordoñez Sigcho was born on 15 January 1972 in Saraguro, in the diocese of Loja.
He was ordained a priest on 27 June 2007 and incardinated in the archdiocese of Quito.
A qualified commercial engineer, he was awarded a licentiate in theology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica di Ecuador.
He has served as a formator in the minor seminary and secretary to the archbishop of Quito.
He is currently parish priest of San Pedro in Cumbayá and adjunct secretary of the Episcopal Conference of Ecuador.

The Holy Father has appointed the distinguished Professor Marco Impagliazzo, full professor of contemporary history at the Department of Sciences of Formation of the University of Rome Tre and president of the Sant’Egidio Community, Italy, as historical consultor of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints.
