Transfer of bishop of Algoch of the Chaldeans to auxiliary bishop of the Patriarchate of Baghdad of the Chaldeans

His Eminence Cardinal Louis Raphaël Sako, with the assent of the Synod of Bishops of the Patriarchal Church of Baghdad of the Chaldeans, and after informing the Apostolic See, has transferred Bishop Mikha Pola Magdassi from the role of bishop of the eparchy of Algoch of the Chaldeans to the office of auxiliary bishop of the Patriarchate of Baghdad of the Chaldeans. The Holy Father has assigned to the prelate the titular see of Seert of the Chaldeans.

He is succeeded in the pastoral care of the eparchy of Algoch of the Chaldeans by Bishop Thabet Habib Yousif Al Mekko, until now coadjutor bishop of the same eparchy.
