On Friday 2 September 2022, at 11.30, in the Holy See Press Office, a press conference will be held to present the Beatification of Pope John Paul I (né Albino Luciani), to take place on Sunday 4 September in Saint Peter’s Square.

The speakers will be:

- His Eminence Cardinal Beniamino Stella, postulator of the Cause of Beatification;

- Dr. Stefania Falasca, vice-president of the John Paul I Vatican Foundation, deputy postulator of the Cause;

- Don Davide Fiocco, John Paul I Vatican Foundation, representing the diocese of Belluno-Feltre;

- Dr. Lina Petri, John Paul I Vatican Foundation, niece of the Pontiff;

- Sr. Margherita Marin, of the Sisters of Charity (Suore di Maria Bambina);

- Fr. Juan José Dabusti, priest of the archdiocese of Buenos Aires.
