On Saturday 27 August 2022, at 16.00, in Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Holy Father Francis will hold:

The Ordinary Public Consistory for the creation of new Cardinals, the imposition of the berretta, the consignment of the ring and the assignation of the Title or Deaconry;

The Ordinary Public Consistory for the Canonization of Blesseds:

Giovanni Battista Scalabrini, bishop of Piacenza, founder of the Congregation of the Missionaries of Saint Charles and the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Saint Charles Borromeo;

Artemide Zatti, professed layperson of the Salesian Society of Saint John Bosco (Salesians).

On Saturday 27 August, from 18.00 to 20.00, the courtesy visits to the new Cardinals will be held.

On Tuesday 30 August, at 17.30, in Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Holy Father will preside over the Eucharistic Celebration with the new Cardinals and the College of Cardinals.
