During the audience granted to His Eminence Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, the Supreme Pontiff authorized the same Dicastery to promulgate the Decrees regarding:

- the martyrdom of the Servant of God Petro Oros, priest of the eparchy of Mukačevo, Ukraine; born in 14 July 1917 in Biri, Hungary, and killed in hatred of the faith on 28 August 1953 in Siltse, Soviet Union;

- the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Jesús Antonio Gómez Gómez, diocesan priest; born on 26 March 1895 in El Santuario, Colombia, and died on 23 March 1971 in Medellín, Colombia;

- the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Umile da Genova (né: Giovanni Giuseppe Bonzi), professed priest of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, founder of Sorriso Francescano and the Congregation of the Little Sisters, Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus; born on 21 April 1898 in Genoa, Italia, and died there on 9 February 1969;

- the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Juan Sánchez Hernández, priest of the Labourer Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, founder of the Secular Institute of the Secular Servants of Jesus Christ the Priest; born on 9 November 1902 in Villanueva del Campillo, Spain, and died on 18 July 1975 in Madrid, Spain;

- the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Vítor Coelho de Almeida, professed priest of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer; born on 22 September 1899 in Sacramento, Brazil, and died on 21 July 1987 in Guaratinguetá, Brazil;

- the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Maria Celina Kannanaikal, professed religious of the Congregation of Ursuline Sisters of Mary Immaculate; born on13 February 1931 in Kundannur, India, and died on 26 July 1957 in Kannur, India.
