The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Santiago De Wit Guzmán, titular of Gabala, until now apostolic nuncio in the Central African Republic and in Chad, as apostolic nuncio in Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Grenada, Co-operative Republic of Guyana, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Suriname and apostolic delegate in the Antilles.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the office of vicar of the major archbishop for the archeparchy of Ernakulam-Angamaly of the Syro-Malabars, India, presented by Archbishop Antony Kariyil, C.M.I., conserving the personal dignity of archbishop and the titular see of Macriana Maior.

The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Andrews Thazhath, metropolitan of Trichur of the Syro-Malabars, India, as apostolic administrator “Sede Plena” of the archeparchy of Ernakulam-Angamaly of the Syro-Malabars.
