The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Nicola Girasoli, titular of Egnazia Appula, until now apostolic nuncio in Peru, as apostolic nuncio in Slovakia.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Verona, Italy, presented by Bishop Giuseppe Zenti.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Domenica Pompili of Rieti as bishop of the diocese of Verona, Italy.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Domenico Pompili was born on 21 May 1963 in Rome, and was ordained a priest on 6 August 1988 for the diocese of Anagni-Alatri.
After priestly ordination, he held various ministries and offices in the diocese of Anagni-Alatri, in addition to which he was awarded a doctorate in moral theology in 2001 from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. In 2005 he was appointed as study assistant at the General Secretariat of the Italian Episcopal Conference, in particular at Sat 2000 and Radio in-Blu. He was then secretary of the Communication and Culture Foundation, member of the Italian Committee for the Support of Youth Pastoral Initiatives (CISIP), member of the managing board of the daily newspaper Avvenire and lecturer in loral theology at the Leoniano Theological Institute in Anagni. Since 2007, he has served as director of the National Office for Social Communications of the Italian Episcopal Conference and, since 2009, under-secretary.
He was appointed bishop of Rieti on 15 May 2015, he received episcopal consecration on the following 5 September. On 29 October 2020, he was appointed as apostolic administrator of Ascoli Piceno, a post he held until 28 November 2021.
Within the Italian Episcopal Conference, he is chair of the Episcopal Commission for Culture and Social Communications.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Fr. Victor Emiliano Villegas Suclupe, O.A.R.., provincial vicar for Peru of the Agostinian Recollects, as bishop prelate of Chota, Peru.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Victor Emiliano Villegas Suclupe, O.A.R., was born on 9 February 1967 in Lambayeque, Peru. He carried out his studies at the Colegio Nacional San José in Lambayeque. In 1990 he was awarded a degree in agrarian engineering at the Universidad de Chiclayo. He entered the Order of Augustinian Recollects, and continued his studies in philosophy (1995-1997). He then completed his novitiate in Colombia (1998) and subsequently his studies in theology (1999-2001) at the Facultad de Teología Pontificia y Civil de Lima.
He gave his religious vows on 19 March 2002 and was ordained a priest on 22 March 2003.
He has held the following offices: member of the community of the Santa Rita parish in Lima, and promotor (director) of the Colegio Santa Rita (2003-2012); parish priest of Santa Mónica in Chota (2013-2018); and provincial vicar for Peru of the Augustinian Recollects (2018-2022).
Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Santiago de Chile, Chile
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Álvaro Chordi Miranda, of the clergy of the diocese of Vitoria, Spain, until now parish priest of San Saturnino of Santiago, as auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Santiago de Chile, Chile, assigning him the titular see of Regiana.

Msgr. Álvaro Chordi Miranda was born on 4 December 1967 in Pamplona, Spain. He graduated n law from the Universidad de Salamanca; after entering the Seminary, he continued his studies in philosophy and theology in the same university and in the Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao. Finally, he specialized in the direction of spiritual exercises at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
He was ordained a priest on 16 June 1999 for the clergy of the diocese of Vitoria, Spain, and is a member of the Comunidades Adsis International Association.
He has held the following offices: parish priest of San Andrés in Vitoria (1999-2003); diocesan delegate for youth pastoral care (2003-2008); director of the Centro Privado de Educación Secundaria EGIBIDE (2008-2015); superior general Adsis for Latin America; head of Christian formation of students at the lay universities of the archdiocese of Santiago de Chile and supervisor of the pastoral care of education at the Vicariate for Education (2015-2018).
From 2018 to date, he has served as parish priest of San Saturnino of Santiago and dean of the Yungay deanery of the archdiocese, and since 2020, vice president of the Fundación FRÈ.
