The Holy Father will preside over the pious exercise of the “Via Crucis”, at the end of which he will address the faithful and impart the Apostolic Blessing.

The Holy Father will bless the new flame in the atrium of Saint Peter’s Basilica; after the processional entry into the Basilica with the Paschal candle and the singing of the Exsultet, he will preside over the Liturgy of the Word, the Baptismal Liturgy and the Eucharistic Liturgy, which will be concelebrated with the Patriarchs, the Cardinals, the Bishops who wish to and some Priests, subject to availability of places.
