This morning, during two successive audiences, Pope Francis met two groups of representatives of Canadian indigenous populations – around ten Métis delegates and around eight Inuit – accompanied by some bishops of the Canadian Episcopal Conference. Each meeting lasted around one hour and was characterized, on behalf of the Pope, by the wish to listen to and make space for the painful stories recounted by the survivors.
